San Miguel Panarama from San Antonio 15x22 wc

San Miguel de Allende is situated at 6000 feet altitude in the mountains of central Mexico.  By Mexican standards San Miguel is a small town with a population of somewhere between 80 and 100 thousand. In spite of its population San Miguel covers an area no larger than that of Cedar City.  Once there, you don't need a car. It's easy to walk everywhere.  The narrow, cobbled streets wind around and up-and-down through the hills of this mountain setting.  It is possible to find vantage points with panoramic views from many locations around town. This view of San Miguel is from the neighborhood known as San Antonio. This piece was painted from the rooftop of a three-story apartment building in the spring of the year when the beautiful Jacaranda trees were in full bloom.
